Lucía Madriz's work must be understood within the new context in the art world: bio-colonialism – or a new frontier of colonialism that in recent decades has brought to contemporary art a universe of images and ideas not existing in the art world...And today when we talk so much about art and the future, or the future of art and human improvement, sustainability is the only formula to look at the future. Whether it is that of humanity or art.
